Introduction to Lacrosse - 1021007

Boys and girls in grades 1-5 can learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Lacrosse is action-packed and lots of fun! The sport has elements of soccer, football basketball and hockey. Once you try lacrosse, you'll live it! All equipment will be provided in this highly instructional program. Experienced coaches will be provided by Jump Start Sports. All players will receive training on the fundamentals, including: passing and catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing, positioning and defense.

Youth Dodgeball - Summer - 102707

Dodgeball helps develop balance, hand-eye coordination & reflex skills. The activity also teaches the basic fundamentals of catching and throwing along with participation and teamwork. It is a game in which players on one team try to eliminate players on another team by hitting them with low impact gator skin balls. Games will be officiated with tournaments at the end of the session.

They will teaching the USTA Quickstart Program. What is it, do you ask? The USTA Quickstart Program provides scaled-down balls, racquets, courts and nets for the appropriate age group. Racquets are provided or for purchase at class. Instructors reserve the right to move students to the appropriate clothing and shoes as your child will not ve able to participate for safety reasons. Most commonly played as a pastime in a tailgate or campground setting across the United Sates, Fowling was founded in 2001 by Chris Hutt from Detroit, Michigan.

FLAG FOOTBALL-EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE - Youth - 202110

Are you ready for some football? Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country. This is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. Teams are limited to 10 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to continue to enhance their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football.

Games are played at Woodhaven High School on Sunday afternoons. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all. Participants will receive a NFL reversible jersey, flag belt, and individual participation award. Games are officiated by MHSAA referees.
Registration Deadline is February 23, 2018.
